/v1/alerts/:alert_id

One alert, if its dashboard is one you can view — or if it is gone.

orphaned: true means the dashboard this alert was created on has been deleted. Nothing evaluates it (the tick skips it), it cannot be edited or test-run, and the only thing left to do with it is DELETE — which works. registration.detail says the same thing in a sentence; orphaned is the field to branch on.
