# Get Dataset Lineage

Alias of `GET /v1/lineage?node=dataset:{dataset_id}&direction=both&depth=3`, wrapped as `{ lineage }` for the dataset page. Same builder, same `<type>:<id>` node ids, same `LineageGraph` type. 404 when the dataset does not exist or the caller may not view it.
