# Delete Subscription

Delete a subscription permanently. Not reversible, and not a pause.

The id goes with it, and `/deliveries` is queried by that id — so every send this subscription ever made stops being reachable, even though the delivery rows themselves remain.

To stop a subscription temporarily, send `{"isActive": false}` to `PUT /v1/subscriptions/{subscription_id}` instead. That is reversible and keeps both the id and the history.
